WATER WE TALKING ABOUT?
From beautiful bayside trails and fishing fleets at work to shorelines alive with otters, birds, and other wildlife, Humboldt Bay is where our natural environment, community, and local economy come together. Keeping that connection strong takes practical experience, thoughtful stewardship, and people willing to work together. I’ve been a small business owner, manufacturing facility manager, and chair of the Redwood Coast Energy Authority’s Citizen Advisory Committee. Today, I lead watershed restoration, habitat enhancement, wildfire resilience, and public access infrastructure projects for the Mattole Restoration Council. I’m running to bring that experience to the Harbor District, with a commitment to protecting the bay, expanding opportunities to enjoy it, and supporting a thriving local economy.
WATER WE GOING TO DO?
As your Commissioner, I’ll actively advocate for restoring Humboldt Bay and its watersheds, expanding recreational opportunities, and supporting appropriate economic development that benefits local workers, businesses, and communities. I’ll bring a commitment to sound science, practical solutions, and innovation. I’ll build strong Local, State, Federal, and Tribal partnerships to advance restoration, improve public access, and support our working waterfronts. I’ll listen to community priorities and advocate for responsible use of public dollars. That means weighing financial, ecological, and cultural considerations, and making sure public investments deliver lasting local benefits. I believe a healthy bay and economic prosperity go hand-in-hand. With your vote, I’ll bring practical experience, collaborative leadership, and active advocacy to the Harbor District.
